Coaching Background

While Joseph appreciates cultural and people diversity, he is also mindful of the resulting complexity. He works with clients to enable them to appreciate and manage this face of globalization. Communication can break down because people are not conscious of cultural nuances. Conflict can result from different styles. Perceptions of and responses to power vary in different cultures and upbringing. Joseph works with clients to sharpen their awareness of these subtleties and overcome their blind spots so as to increase their effectiveness.

His approach is holistic and brings into focus the individual, the processes with which the individual works with, the outputs expected of the individual, and the environment in which all these take place. Joseph seeks simplicity in solutions so that people at all levels can readily understand, assimilate, and execute. Too many organizational efforts fail because internally organizations mirror the very complexity they are trying to resolve outside.

Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

He combines more than 20 years of multi-national corporation (MNC) managerial experience in business with organizational expertise in diverse cultures to empower clients to improve themselves and work performance. Joseph’s clients include MNCs, government agencies, and medium-sized firms. His clients are diverse: European, Australian, American and Asian. Clients have engaged Joseph to consult, train, and coach on innovation, change leadership, strategy, teamwork, core values, leadership development, customer service, sales and marketing among other interventions.

Education

He is a 2008 graduate of the International Gestalt Coaching Program at the Cleveland, Ohio-based Gestalt Center for Systems and Organizational Development which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He earned his Advanced Graduate Certificate (Master’s level) in Creativity and Change Leadership at the International Center for Studies in Creativity, Buffalo, State University of New York. He is also trained at the graduate level in psychometric assessment. Joseph expanded his learning and application in organizational development with NTL Institute; Skilled Facilitation with Roger Schwarz; Accelerated Learning with Dave Meier; Strategic Human Capital Management with the Singapore Management University; and Organizational Culture, Leadership and Change with Professor Edgar Schein. Joseph’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business (Distinction), MSc in International Marketing, and a MBA (High Honors).
